Three screens in Sharper can show an Analytics dashboard instead of their own content: the home screen you land on after signing in, the Accounting dashboard, and the Point of Sale dashboard. Each is a slot you assign a dashboard to — and if nothing is assigned, you get a plain graphic instead.

Why This Matters
The home screen is the screen your staff see most often — it is where every session starts. Putting the right dashboard there means the numbers people need are in front of them without anyone navigating anywhere. Equally, an unassigned slot showing a decorative graphic is the single most common "why is my dashboard blank?" question, and it is a configuration matter rather than a fault.
The Three Slots

All three are assigned at Analytics → Settings. There is no equivalent slot for Marina, Campground, Booking, or CRM — those modules have their own fixed dashboards and cannot display an Analytics dashboard.
Assigning a Dashboard to a Slot
Build the dashboard first at Analytics → Dashboards. Only dashboards that already exist appear in the dropdowns.
Go to Analytics → Settings.
Choose a dashboard for Outlet Dashboard, Accounting Dashboard, and POS Dashboard as required.
Select Save. The change takes effect for all users on their next page load.
These assignments are per outlet. Setting the Outlet Dashboard while working in one property does not set it for the others — each outlet is configured separately, and switching outlets can make a dashboard appear or disappear. If a dashboard vanished after an outlet switch, check Settings for the outlet you are now in rather than assuming it was deleted.
The Filter Bar
When a slot is showing a real dashboard, a filter bar appears with it: a date range and an All Outlets toggle. On the Accounting and POS dashboards the bar sits above the widgets; on the home screen it sits in the application header.
Changing the range re-runs every widget on the dashboard. The dashboard's own saved default range is what loads first.
Note: Module dashboards are read-only. The Add Widget and Duplicate Widget buttons are hidden here deliberately. To change what a module dashboard shows, open the same dashboard from Analytics → Dashboards and edit it there — your changes then apply everywhere it is used.
If You See a Graphic Instead of a Dashboard
A plain screen showing your company logo and an illustration is the "nothing assigned yet" state. It is not an error and not a loading failure — that screen contains no data by design. Work down this list:
No dashboard is assigned to that slot for the outlet you are in. Check Analytics → Settings. This is by far the most common cause.
Your role lacks that slot's dashboard access. Each slot has its own permission, separate from general Analytics access — so you can be allowed into Analytics and still get the graphic on the home screen. Your administrator can enable it under System Settings → Roles.
You are in a different outlet than the one where the assignment was made.
Analytics is not switched on for your company. When it is off, every slot falls back to the graphic and the Analytics section does not appear in the sidebar at all. Analytics is enabled for your company by your Sharper implementation team.
If the dashboard loads but a widget is empty or shows an error rather than the whole screen being a graphic, the cause is the widget's underlying report rather than the slot — Analytics - Widgets covers those cases, including the date-range trap that makes a widget show all-time figures.
