Campground - Maps Setup

How to create a campground map, position spaces on the layout, assign the map to a booking type, and set a default map for the back office.

Campground maps provide a visual layout of your RV park with clickable spaces. The map can be displayed to guests during online booking so they can pick their preferred site, and is available to staff in the back office for a real-time occupancy view.

When to Use a Map

Maps are optional. Consider setting up a map if:

  • You want guests to see the campground layout when booking online and choose their specific site

  • Your staff benefits from a visual overview when checking occupancy

Accessing Map Setup

Navigate to Campground > Settings > Maps.

Creating a New Map

  1. Select Add New in the upper-right corner.

  2. Enter a Name for the map (e.g., "Main Campground," "North Loop").

  3. Upload a Background Image β€” the overhead or site map image that spaces will be placed on. Recommended: PNG or JPEG.

  4. Select Save. The map editor opens with your background image displayed.

Adding Spaces to the Map

  1. Select Add Space in the map editor.

  2. Select the Space from the dropdown list.

  3. The space icon appears on the map β€” drag it to the correct position.

  4. Repeat for all spaces you want visible on the map.

Only spaces that exist in Campground > Settings > Spaces can be added to the map. Create all spaces first before building the map.

Space Icon Appearance

Each space's icon appearance is configured on the space record itself. To change how a space looks on the map, update these fields in Campground > Settings > Spaces:

Assigning the Map to a Booking Type

After creating the map, assign it to the relevant booking type so it appears online and in the back office:

  1. Go to Campground > Settings > Booking Types.

  2. Open the booking type.

  3. In the Map field, select the map you created.

  4. In the Default View field, select Map if you want the map to be the default view guests see (vs. list view).

  5. Select Save.

Setting a Default Map for the Back Office

If you have multiple maps and want the back office to open a specific one by default:

  1. Go to Company Settings > Module Defaults or Company Settings > Outlet Defaults.

  2. Set the Default Map for Campground.

  3. Select Save.

Staff can still switch between maps using the dropdown in the upper-right corner of the Map screen.
