Marina - Settings Reference

The Marina Settings screen (Marina → Settings) contains all configuration tiles for the module. This reference lists every tile, its purpose, and where to find detailed documentation.


Accessing Marina Settings

  1. From the left navigation pane, click Marina.

  2. Click Settings on the top ribbon (or More → Settings if the ribbon is collapsed).

Booking Types

Define the categories that link products, spaces, and rate plans. Control which booking periods are available and which vessel dimensions the online portal requires.

Create custom statuses beyond the five defaults. Set up automatic email or contract triggers when status changes.

Departure Reasons — Setup

  1. Go to Marina → Settings → Departure Reasons.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. Enter the reason name (e.g., "End of Season," "Relocated," "Non-Renewal," "Vessel Sold").

  4. Click Save.

  5. Repeat for all reasons.

Staff can then select a departure reason when closing out a reservation or recording a vessel departure.


Referral Reasons — Setup

  1. Go to Marina → Settings → Referral Reasons.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. Enter the referral reason name (e.g., "Google Search," "Word of Mouth," "Repeat Customer," "Boat Show").

  4. Click Save.

  5. Repeat for all reasons.

Staff can select the referral reason when creating a reservation. This data is available in Marina Reservation reports for marketing analysis.


Typical Setup Sequence

If you are setting up the Marina module from scratch, complete the settings in this order to avoid missing prerequisites:

  1. Space Groups — must exist before Spaces

  2. Spaces — must exist before Products can be assigned units

  3. Power Meter Types — must exist before Power Meters

  4. Power Meters — must exist before Meter Readings

  5. Booking Types — must exist before Products

  6. Rate Plans — can be created before or after Products

  7. Policies — must exist before assigning to Products or enabling online booking

  8. Products — bring all the above together

  9. Price Adjustments — assign to Products after Products are created

  10. Maps — can be set up any time after Spaces exist

  11. Promo Codes, Custom Status, Departure Reasons, Referral Reasons — can be created at any time
