In the booking module, users will encounter various booking period options to choose from when setting up a rate plan. These options consist of Hourly, Daily, and Nightly. The selection made will impact the available choices and language within the rate plan. This instructional guide will be segmented into sections dedicated to creating a rate plan for each booking period. It is advisable to thoroughly review all instructions before proceeding with the rate plan creation process.
Daily Booking Period
Typically used for daily rental boats or anything setup as a Daily product.
Using the navigation pane on the left, click the Booking module.
Click Settings using the ribbon at the top.
Click the Rate Plans tile.
Click Add New in the top right.
Name the rate plan to what you want to see it as.
Name the rate plan to what you want the customer to see it as.
Select the Daily Booking period. This is where the steps will begin to diverge from the other sections in this guide. This being Daily, Nightly, and Hourly.
Select the Booking Policy. Policies that match the booking period will only show up here so any differing policies will never show here.
Set the price structure for the rate plan. You can make this rate plan a price per day, or price based on number of days booked. Each selection will give further options and these will be broken down into subsections below.
Price per day
This is a fixed per day rate. This will typically be your ‘base rate’ for most boaters that book for a single day OR you do not use multi day rate plans.
If you have multi day rates, use the maximum rental length of time to set the maximum amount of days someone can book using this rate plan.
Example - You have a standard rate plan that uses Price per day and a separate multi-day rate plan for 4 days. Make sure the maximum rental length of time of this standard rate plan is set to 3.
The rest of the options are constraints you wish to apply to the product when this rate plan is being used. Leaving them blank will default to product settings, so it is okay to leave blank if you choose.
There is an option Discount Rate Plan which is a toggle where when it is on it will only show this rate plan when the conditions are met. Conditions being they book 3 days for a 3 day rate or book 5 days for a 5 day rate. This toggle doesn’t do anything for the customer when booking online, it is for the user when they are creating an advanced reservation. If this is off, this rate plan will appear as a rate plan option no matter the amount of days this booking is for.

Price based on number of days
If you have a pricing structure that depends on the amount of days booked you would use the cost based on number of days and enter the amount of days the booking would need to be here.
If you have different prices depending on the amount of days booked you will need to create a rate plan for each breakdown of days. Meaning if you have a different rate for 3 days versus 5 days you would create a rate plan for 3 and a rate plan for 5. It is a good practice to name the rate plan ‘3 Day Rate’ or ‘5 Day Rate’ as example.
After selecting the Price based on number of days button you will enter the amount of days in the Total Price for field.
Going down one step on this page, select Yes to set a minimum rental length of time. Make this Equal to the number entered in the Total Price for field.
Set the maximum length of time if you plan on using multiple rate plans for each product. An example would be if you have a price structure where a different price is given for 3 days, 5 days, and 7 days. The 3 day rate plan would have a maximum rental length of time set to 4 days. The 5 day rate would have a max length of time set to 6 days. The 7 day rate would not need a max length of time only if this is the largest time frame you offer.
The rest of the options are constraints you wish to apply to the product when this rate plan is being used. Leaving them blank will default to product settings, so it is okay to leave blank if you choose.
