Power meter types define the electrical service categories available at your marina — for example, 30 Amp, 50 Amp, or 100 Amp pedestals. They are used to categorize meters and filter meter readings by service type. Meter types are typically created during initial setup, but can be added any time your marina expands or changes its pedestal offerings.
Before You Begin
No prerequisites required. Any staff user with Marina module access can create and manage power meter types.
How to Create a Power Meter Type
From the left navigation pane, click Marina.
Click Settings on the top ribbon.
Select the Power Meter Types tile.
Click Add New in the top right corner.
Enter a Name for the meter type — for example: 30 Amp, 50 Amp, or 100 Amp.
Enter the Amperage.
Enter the Voltage.
Click Save.
Note: Amperage and voltage are for reference and filtering only — they have no effect on billing. The rate charged per meter read is set by the billing product assigned to each individual meter. See Marina - Power Meters.
Next Step
Once your meter types are in place, create the individual meter records and assign them to slips. See Marina - Power Meters.
