In order to set up and mass send a marketing email a few prerequisites must be met first. If these have not been met, please visit the link for each to ensure the setup is correct.
An email address must be set up in Sharper: Email Addresses
A customer marketing email template must be created: Marketing Email Template
Sending the Customer Marketing Email
Once you have created the marketing template in Sharper please follow these steps to send the email.
Using the Navigation pane on the left select CRM.
Click on Customers using the ribbon at the top.
On the top right hand side of your screen, select Marketing Email.
Once selected, 3 fields and a toggle will appear on the right side of the screen.
Field | Function |
Marketing Template | Selects the Marketing email created in System Settings → Templates. |
Customer | Select individual customers to send the email to. It is highly recommended to send yourself the template first as a way to check for errors. |
Customer List Report | Select a saved Customer report — all customers on that report will receive the email. Run the report beforehand to confirm the recipient list before sending. |
Include Bcc Toggle | When enabled, a copy of every email is also sent to the BCC address configured on the marketing template. |
In the lower right hand corner click Send.
Targeting a Specific Group of Customers
Use the Customer List Report field to target a subset of customers — for example, all tenants on a specific dock, all customers with a particular product, or any other group you can define with report filters.
Navigate to Reports and run a Customers report.
Apply filters to narrow the list to your target group (dock, product type, reservation status, or any available dimension).
Save the report.
Return to CRM → Customers → Marketing Email and select the saved report in the Customer List Report field.
Confirm the recipient count looks correct, then send.
Only Customer-type reports appear in the Customer List Report field. Invoice or Reservation reports will not be available. Customers with Do Not Email enabled on their account are excluded from the send automatically.
