This article covers rate plans in the Campground module. Rate plans are configured independently per module. These rate plans are not shared with the Marina or Booking modules.
Rate Plans define how pricing is calculated for campground products. They support simple flat rates, date-based seasonal rates, and dimension-based pricing that varies by the guest's vehicle size.
When to Use Rate Plans
Campground products can use either base pricing or advanced pricing (rate plans):
Base Pricing — A single flat price applies to all reservations of that product. Set in the product's General Information tab.
Advanced Pricing (Rate Plans) — Pricing varies based on vehicle dimensions, date ranges, seasons, or booking constraints.
If your campground charges different rates for 30-ft RVs vs. 40-ft RVs, or has peak season vs. off-season pricing, you need rate plans.
Accessing Rate Plans
Navigate to Campground → Settings → Rate Plans.
Creating a Rate Plan
Click Add New in the upper-right corner.
Enter a Name for the rate plan (e.g., "Nightly Standard", "Seasonal 2025 Rates").
Select the Booking Type this rate plan applies to.
Select the Booking Period (Hourly, Daily, Nightly, Long-Term, or Seasonal).
Click Save to create the plan.
Once saved, you can add pricing rows to the rate plan.
Adding Pricing Rows
Each pricing row defines a price for a specific combination of constraints. Add rows by clicking Add Rate Plan within the rate plan.
Field | Description |
Price | The rate charged. Unit depends on booking period (per night, per month, per year, etc.). |
Min LOA / Max LOA | Vehicle length (feet) range this price applies to. |
Min Beam / Max Beam | Vehicle beam width (feet) range. |
Min Height / Max Height | Vehicle height (feet) range. |
Min Sqft / Max Sqft | Site square footage range (for site-size-based pricing). |
Min Duration / Max Duration | Minimum and maximum stay length for this rate to apply. |
Min Book in Advance / Max Book in Advance | How far in advance this rate is available. |
Min Units / Max Units | Minimum and maximum occupancy limits. |
Enabled | Whether this row is currently active. |
Dimension fields are optional. Leave them blank if the rate applies regardless of vehicle size.
Example: Dimension-Based Pricing
For a nightly product where shorter RVs pay less:

When a guest searches with their vehicle's LOA entered, Sharper matches the rate to the appropriate row automatically.
Date-Based and Seasonal Pricing
For products where pricing changes by date or season, add entries at the top of the rate plan:
Add Effective Date — Rate rows beneath this entry apply starting from the specified date.
Add Season — Rate rows apply only during the selected season (requires Seasons configured in System Settings).
Add Year to Calendar — Rate rows apply for the specified calendar year.
If a product uses multiple effective dates, the system uses the most recent effective date that is on or before the reservation start date. Always verify that your date entries are in chronological order.
Assigning a Rate Plan to a Product
Rate plans are assigned during product setup:
Go to Campground → Products and select the product.
Navigate to the Booking Setup tab.
Select Advanced Pricing / Constraints.
Click Add Rate Plan and select the rate plan from the list.
Multiple rate plans can be assigned to a product. Staff can select which rate plan applies when creating a reservation.
