Bookings - Reservation Availability

Keep track of current and upcoming reservations using Sharper’s tape chart under the Availability tab. Every module that manages reservations has this and will work the same way.

Within Availability, you can view occupancy for a selected timeframe. The date selected will show availability for the week prior and for the next 3 weeks, totaling a month of occupancy tracking in a single glance.

The amount of days viewed at once may be dependent on screen size and your browser’s zoom setting.

The screen will always default to todays date indicated by the static black line going down.

  1. Select the day you would like to view from the calendar located on the header ribbon.

    1. You can also select Prev or Next buttons to view days forward or ahead.

On the left hand side of this screen you will see a list of units or spaces grouped together under Unit Group drop-downs. For marina slips you may have an A Dock with multiple A slips underneath. You can select the A Dock drop-down to hide those slips. Going further, if your marina has multiple booking types you can hide entire booking types by selecting the booking type drop-down.

This process can be defaulted to behave in the opposite way in Company Settings → Module Defaults. There is a toggle next to the module you wish to update named Collapse Unit Groups that when toggled on will load the availability page with all drop-downs preselected, making the user manually select the Unit Groups or Booking Types that need to be viewed.

Hovering over the reservation will show the arrival and departure dates. The color will let the user know the status of the reservation.

Sharper has 5 default statuses. Sharper has the ability to create custom statuses.

  1. Reserved (Orange/Yellow) - the customer has reserved this space, however there has been no deposit or money exchanged. If no deposit is required booking will automatically be placed in Confirmed status.

    1. You may see a Reserved Online status (Orange/Yellow) - a customer is in the act of creating a reservation online. If no deposit is made in 15 minutes this will be removed automatically.

  2. Confirmed (Blue) - the customer has given deposit.

  3. Checked In (Green) - the customer has arrived to the property. Checking in must be manually selected.

  4. Checked Out (Gray) - the customer has departed from the property. Checking out must be manually selected.

  5. Canceled (Red) - the customer or property have canceled the booking prior to arriving. Canceled reservations will NOT show on the availability chart.

The user is able to click on the reservation from the Availability chart to be directed inside the reservation to make necessary changes.

blue book Space and Unit Blackouts

Space blackouts will also show up in the Availability chart as a grayed-out block covering the dates and units selected during Space/ Unit Blackout creation. Selecting this will redirect you to the space blackout allowing you to make any edits.
