Custom statuses provide the flexibility to deviate from the default statuses integrated into Sharper. These customized statuses are configurable within the Booking, Campground, and Marina modules. In this instructional guide, we will focus on the Marina module. It's important to note that the process remains consistent across all modules.
Setup
There exist optional setup configurations for custom status to facilitate automated notifications and contracts, like sending an update email or contract to the customer when the status is modified. It's important to note that these options are not mandatory for the creation of custom statuses.
Templates
If you wish to send an email when the status is automatically changed, you will need to create a Status Update Email.
Using the navigation pane on the left select System Settings.
Click the Templates tile.
In the top right-hand corner select Add New.
Name this template, and then make sure the Type is 'Status Update Email'.
Add the message body in the Content box.
Save.
If you wish to send an email with an attachment, it is advisable to create a template for this purpose. Please note e-sign contracts cannot be sent as attachments.
Using the navigation pane on the left select System Settings.
Click the Templates tile.
In the top right-hand corner select Add New.
Name this template, and then make sure the Type is 'Status Update Email Attachment'.

Email Batch
