Reports - Occupancy Reports

How to run and interpret Occupancy reports for Marina, Campground, and Booking modules, including Occupancy %, ADR, and RevPAR metrics.

Updated this week

Occupancy reports are a specialized report type available for the Marina, Campground, and Booking modules. They display occupancy-specific metrics grouped by date, giving you a picture of how well your spaces are being utilized over a given period.

What Occupancy Reports Show

Occupancy reports calculate and display the following metrics for each date in the selected range:

Metric

Description

Occupancy %

The percentage of available spaces that were occupied on a given date. Calculated as occupied spaces ÷ total available spaces × 100.

ADR (Average Daily Rate)

The average revenue generated per occupied space per day. Calculated as total revenue ÷ number of occupied spaces.

RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Space)

A combined metric that accounts for both occupancy and rate. Calculated as ADR × occupancy %. A high RevPAR means you are both well-occupied and charging strong rates.

Results are grouped by date, with one row per day for the selected date range.

Running an Occupancy Report

  1. Select Reports in the left navigation pane.

  2. Select the module you want occupancy data for: Marina, Campground, or Booking.

  3. Select an existing Occupancy report from the list, or select Add New and choose the Occupancy report type.

  4. Select Get Report.

  5. Enter the From and To dates for the period you want to analyze.

  6. Select Submit Report.

Each module has a separate Occupancy report type. If you can access Reports but cannot see the Occupancy type for a specific module (Marina, Campground, or Booking), your user role may not include occupancy reporting for that module. An administrator can enable it by going to System Settings > Roles, editing your role, and enabling the Occupancy report permission under the relevant module tab.

Interpreting the Results

  • A date with Occupancy % of 100% means every available space was occupied that day.

  • ADR helps you understand whether your pricing is effective. Compare it across seasons or against the same period in prior years.

  • RevPAR is the most comprehensive single metric because it captures both how full you were and what you charged. Use it to compare performance across different time periods or between locations.

Occupancy reports display aggregated metrics by date rather than individual reservation records. The CSV and Excel exports reflect this same structure.

Occupancy Reports vs. Reservation Reports

Both report types exist for Marina, Campground, and Booking and serve different purposes:

Report Type

Use When

Occupancy

You want aggregated metrics (occupancy %, ADR, RevPAR) by date — a performance summary

Reservations

You want a list of individual reservation records with guest, vessel, or site details

For most operational tasks — finding a specific guest, reviewing arrivals — use a Reservation report. For management reporting and performance analysis, use an Occupancy report.
