Analytics Settings let you assign a default dashboard to four different areas of Sharper. Each area then opens to the assigned dashboard automatically, so staff do not need to navigate and select one manually.
Note: If you can view dashboards but cannot save Analytics Settings, your user role does not include dashboard management access. An administrator can enable this by going to System Settings > Roles, editing your role, enabling the Analytics toggle in the Accessibility section, and turning on the dashboard management permissions in the Analytics tab.
Accessing Analytics Settings
Select Analytics in the left navigation pane.
Select Settings.
Dashboard Assignment Fields
Setting | Where It Appears |
Outlet Dashboard | Shown on the outlet home screen when staff first log in or navigate to the outlet overview |
Analytics Dashboard | Shown when navigating to the Analytics section of the sidebar |
POS Dashboard | Shown on Point of Sale terminal screens |
Accounting Dashboard | Shown within the Accounting section |
Each field is a dropdown listing all dashboards that have been created. Select the dashboard you want to appear by default in each area, then select Save.
Note: Only dashboards that have already been created will appear in these dropdowns. If a dashboard you want to assign is not listed, go to Analytics > Dashboards and create it first.
Leaving a Section Unassigned
If you leave one of the four fields blank, that area of Sharper will not display a dashboard by default. Staff can still navigate to Analytics > Dashboards and open a dashboard manually at any time.
Changing the Default Dashboard
You can update the assigned dashboard for any area at any time:
Go to Analytics > Settings.
Select a different dashboard from the dropdown.
Select Save.
The change takes effect immediately for all users on their next page load.
