About Module Defaults
Company Settings → Module Defaults controls display, map, and payment-related defaults for the Booking, Marina, and Campground modules, one tab per module. Most fields set a module-specific default that can still be overridden per customer or per reservation.
Booking Tab
Field | What It Does |
Booking Payment Term | The default payment term applied to Booking reservations, used when the customer has no payment term of their own set. Payment term precedence (most specific wins): the customer's own Booking-specific term → the customer's general payment term → this outlet-wide Booking term → the outlet's general Default Payment Term (Company Settings → Outlet Defaults). |
Confirmation Email Template | Selects which "Reservation Email" template (from System Settings → Templates) is used for the Booking reservation confirmation email. Required. |
Default Map | Which Unit Map loads by default on the Booking → Map screen. A map must be configured here for staff to access Booking's map view — if left unset, the Map option doesn't appear in the Booking navigation. |
Booking Product Grid | Which Product Grid (from Point of Sale → Product Grids) populates the product-selection step when staff start a new Booking reservation. Required for staff to start a new Booking reservation. |
Collapse Unit Groups | See "Filter by Booking Type and Unit Groups" in Bookings - Reservation Availability. |
Caption / Icon | Overrides the display name and icon shown for the Booking module in the left navigation and in the Reports module list. Leave blank to use the default label and icon. |
Payment Auto Settle | Controls whether payments taken on Booking-module reservations are automatically settled at the processor. This is separate from "Payment Auto Settle" in Outlet Defaults, which only governs CRM-module payments — set this one to affect Booking specifically. |
Enable Deferred Accounting Assist | A Booking-specific version of Deferred Accounting Assist, separate from the general setting in Outlet Defaults and System Settings → General. Configured by your Sharper implementation team during setup — not editable by outlet staff. |
Default Availability Chart To Day View | When enabled, the Booking module's Availability chart opens showing today only instead of the standard multi-week view. |
Marina Tab
Same field set and behavior as Booking (Marina Payment Term, Confirmation Email Template, Default Map, Marina Product Grid, Collapse Unit Groups, Caption/Icon, Payment Auto Settle, Enable Deferred Accounting Assist, Default Availability Chart To Day View, all scoped to Marina), plus:
Field | What It Does |
Show Marina Refresh Counter | When enabled, the Marina and Campground Map screens both show a "Refresh Map" countdown (settable from 2–60 minutes) that periodically re-checks occupancy automatically — this single toggle controls the countdown for both modules. |
Campground Tab
Same field set and behavior as Marina (Campground Payment Term, Confirmation Email Template, Default Map, Campground Product Grid, Collapse Unit Groups, Caption/Icon, Payment Auto Settle, Enable Deferred Accounting Assist, Default Availability Chart To Day View, all scoped to Campground).
