Guests get moved. A rig is shifted to a longer space, relocated away from a flooded loop, or leaves the park for a fortnight while keeping its site. Each of those events is recorded in Sharper as a space assignment, and the Campground Space Assignments report is the history of them — which rig went where, when, and what space it came from.
This article assumes you already know the basics of the Sharper reporting module — the Name, Token, Subtotal, column picker, and filter fields. For a full walkthrough of the reporting form itself, see the Sharper Reporting Reference Guide. This article only covers the report.
Why This Report Matters
Where a rig is today is easy to see on the map. What is much harder to reconstruct afterwards is where a guest was last month, how many times they have been moved, or which spaces are being used as short-term holding. This report answers those, which makes it useful for:
Settling a guest query about being moved, with dates and spaces on record
Reviewing how often a particular space or loop is churning
Seeing which guests are away from the park but still holding their space
Reconstructing site history for an insurance or damage claim
The Three Assignment Types
Every row carries a Type, and it is one of three. Reading the report without this column is very difficult, so always include it.
Type | What Happened |
Permanent Move | The rig was moved to a different space for the rest of its stay. The old space is released. |
Temporary Move | The rig was moved to another space for a defined period and is expected back — typical during maintenance or flooding. |
Temporary Departed | The rig has left the park entirely for a period but still holds its reservation and its space. |
On a Temporary Departed row, Space Name is deliberately empty — the rig is not in a space at all, so there is no destination to name. A blank Space Name is not a data error, and filtering on Space Name will silently drop every temporary departure from your results. Use Previous Space Name to see the space the rig left from.
This Is History, Not Current Occupancy
Each row is a movement event with its own Start Date and End Date, so a rig moved three times produces three rows. A space with no movement history produces none at all, and vacant spaces do not appear — a space that has never had a rig moved into or out of it is simply absent.
If what you want is where every guest is right now, along with what each space is earning, use the Campground Rent Roll report instead — that one reports the park as it stands today and includes empty spaces.
Building a Space Assignments Report
Go to Reports → Campground → Space Assignments in the left sidebar.
If a shipped report is close to what you need, use the ⋯ menu → Copy first — shipped reports can only be edited by the Sharper team.
Otherwise click + New and give it a Name, such as "Site Move History."
Add the columns below, including Type.
Turn on All Outlets if guests move between your parks.
Click Save, then Get Report to run it.

Note: The Vehicles column group is shared with the marina side of Sharper, so you will also see Vehicle Beam, Vehicle Draft, and Vehicle Hull Color in the Available list. These are boat measurements and will normally be empty for RV records — leave them out.
Useful Filters
Guests currently away from the park: Field Type, set to Temporary Departed, and End Date set to is empty.
Permanent moves in a period: Field Type set to Permanent Move, and Start Date operator Between, covering the period.
Everything that happened to one space: Field Previous Space Name set to the space, in an Or group with Space Name set to the same space — this catches moves both in and out.
One guest's move history: Field Customer Name, set to the customer.
One loop's churn: Field Space Group Name, set to the group.
Moves still in effect: Field End Date, set to is empty.
The Temporary Departed filter is worth keeping as its own saved report — it is the fastest way to see which spaces are physically empty today even though they are paid for and cannot be re-let.
