This article covers manually allocating unsettled payments and credits to open invoices in CRM. To enable automatic allocation instead, see CRM - Auto-Settle Payments.
Allocate Customer Payment to Open Invoice
Open CRM β Payments and search for the desired unsettled payment by typing the customer name in the search box.
You can also use the filter icon located next to the search box to search by unsettled status, customer, and date.
Locate the unsettled payment, and click the Edit button.
On the payment screen, when a customer has an open invoice, check the box next to the invoice you wish to allocate.
You may choose to allocate the entire invoice or change the amount.
Click the Save button.
Allocate Closed Period Payment to Open Invoice
Open CRM β Payments and search for the desired unsettled payment by typing the customer name in the search box.
You can also use the filter icon located next to the search box to search by unsettled status, customer, and date.
Locate the unsettled payment, and click the Edit button.
On the payment screen, click the Apply Invoice button.
When a customer has open invoice(s), check the box next to the invoice you wish to allocate.
You may choose to allocate the entire invoice or change the amount.
Click the Apply button.
Click the Save button.
Remove Payment Allocation
Open CRM β Payments and search for the payment by typing the customer name in the search box.
You can also use the filter icon located next to the search box to search by unsettled status, customer, and date.
Locate the payment, and click the Edit button.
On the payment screen, the invoice(s) the payment is allocated to will be selected. Uncheck the box next to the invoice(s) you wish to remove from the allocation.
You may choose to remove the full allocation or adjust the amount.
Click the Save button.
